i dont know what it is about this picture, but i just love it!
as well as just being a great painting, the expression on Steve's face is just like in the scene when he sees the jaguar shark, and the red spots remind me of the fluroescent snapper. It really is a brilliant piece of work, nice one!
( in a co-incidence, i stumbled upon this piece of work while listening to the Life Aquatic soundtrack! haha!)[link]
an acrylic on wood panel painting that I wish to have on my walls, to remind me not to make stand-ups all night ( :coffee: ). plus, like a sailor that this captain is, I find quite funny the dots in the painting, looking like air-bubbles, like if he's drowning... and in fact, he looks kinda down, don't you think?
I also love the details and cut out feeling I get in his wrinkles... it reminds me some famous painters, like picasso, that also made use of that effect!
Fuck I love that movie. Nice drawing, but I don't like how Steve looks. He is melancholic, yes. But he also has a certain happiness. He's just too sad there. But it's still a brilliant drawing, congrats Bill Murray rocks
I saw this and just, man, I laughed. This movie was brilliant, and Murray is always amazing. This is seriously one of the greatest things I've ever seen. It's so fitting. Your style is awesome and the colors and expression are beautiful. Great work!
I can never beleive how wonderful of a painter you are
I hope you do well for yourself, I'm sure you will
ps. after I graduate college, i am going to open a gallery for students/up-and-comers in san luis obispo (my hometown) you should stick around here long enough so i can contact you and you can have a show. You are one of my favourites. it would be amazing to see your work in real life
